The Big Kick Off!

Junior Followers started today and we had 30 kids come! It was so much fun. We played games, had a snack, sang songs, our guest Bible character shared about Jesus feeding the 5,000, and we made lunch boxes. Things went very smoothly and we only went over about ten minutes. Next time we'll do an easier craft. I forgot how fragile kids are at this age. We had a line up of kids who were "hurt" from the games. They were all easy boo boos to fix though. About five parents came to be a part of this ministry too. That was awesome! I'm so exhausted, but I had so much fun. Little kids are so cute.

Yeah so one thing I forgot that was brought to my attention was we need to have a potty break. I guess the kids were doing the pee pee dance when their parents were picking them up. Oops ;)

Hey, really glad to hear things went good for you. Good luck in the future. Personally i would make the kids hold thier pee, I mean I go whole days fishing and never use a facility...if I can hold it why can they?

Lisa-

you did a great job leading the young children into their first "junior followers" experience. Many years from now we will look back at how it all started!! and you started well!! i have heard many comments from parents and children about how much fun they had and how excited they are about this. even before i came to hayward wesleyan there was a history of excellent programming, heart attention to the young people in this community, an openess to all kinds of people and children... and you have breathed that same air and passion and poured it into something that our community has really needed. well done!
